Welcome! Chrysalis House is an enterprise housing different departments, all working in unity with the goal of creating a sanctuary for healing and transformation.
Peruse the following sections to learn more about the mission and vision of Chrysalis House and its departments.
Life can present us with many challenges and these difficulties can either leave us broken or create an opportunity for us to be strengthened and transformed.
The process of transformation from a caterpillar into a butterfly is not glamorous, in-fact the process is rather unattractive. The chrysalis creates a safe encasement to allow the transformative process to take place, it shields itself from harm and promotes the development that needs to occur.
Coming face to face with the hostility of life’s challenges can often leave people feeling isolated and alone. The chrysalis is a good reminder that we all need safe spaces as we face struggles, not only to shield us in difficult times but also to facilitate the process of change and transformation.
The butterfly has to struggle in order to emerge from its chrysalis fully transformed. The struggle as it emerges is a necessary process because, through the struggle, blood is pumped into the delicate wings of the new butterfly strengthening its wings and enabling it to fly.
Just as the butterfly has to struggle to prepare its wings for flight, our struggles can be the very process that will strengthen us and help us discover our wings to fly in life.
The mission of Chrysalis House is to provide safe places of refuge for the process of healing and transformation, journeying with you in the struggle so that you will find strength for your wings, emerging with the ability to fly.

The definition of a sanctuary is threefold:
1. Refuge or safety from pursuit, persecution, or other danger.
2. A nature reserve, and
3. A Holy place; a temple.
The vision of Chrysalis House Sanctuary is to provide refuge through creating an Eden of tranquility where people can encounter the healing presence and transformative love of God.
The first sanctuary is in the process of being developed. The gardens are being designed with the wisdom of permaculture to reflect the intelligent design of a magnificent Creator. A nature reserve that will be a place of wonder, peace, and a space to encounter Yahweh. Therefore, it will also be a sanctuary of worship. The gardens will eventually house rooms available for counseling and prayer ministry, as well as spaces for small group training.
The long-term vision is to create a Chrysalis House Garden and Sanctuary on a large scale, providing opportunities for community gardening and organic produce to local communities. It will house a training and retreat centre, counseling/prayer ministry rooms, and a tabernacle of prayer.
